Choosing fewer materials

A restrained palette is useful when each material is allowed to carry real work.

Choosing fewer materials Temporary placeholder · Will be replaced with real project photography as soon as possible

A quiet room does not require pale finishes. It requires materials with clear roles.

In a kitchen, dark cabinetry can hold the visual weight at the perimeter. Timber can bring warmth where hands meet the island. Stone can take the daily marks that make a room specific to its owners.

When those choices are settled early, the room needs less correction later. Hardware, lighting, and textiles can support the architecture instead of competing with it.
